Brown & Coconut | Refreshing Citrus Body Wash & Nourishing Body Oil

Body care has been something I have loved for a long time. I remember 8-year-old me at my Auntie Lynnette’s house taking baths in her clawfoot tub, using every single drop of her probably not-cheap body wash and body oils. I find now in adulthood that I am always looking for ways to enhance my body care experience. Enter Brown & Coconut. A name not unfamiliar to my blog. I reviewed their face masks a while back, and when I saw that they dropped a body wash, I immediately said yes. When I went to purchase the body wash, I also saw they had a body oil, so you know I had to double ittt!

Brown & Coconut Refreshing Citrus Body Wash

The Review:

This body wash is described as a lightly foaming, nourishing body wash that gently cleanses the skin. And that is accurate. Not going to lie to yall, “the lightly foaming” description had me shook! I am a heavy-foam girlie, but this was more foam-producing than I thought and had a pretty good lather. I will say if you are super “I need to see the foam to feel clean,” you might want to skip this.

As far as the scent, it is definitely citrusy, and I love citrus-scented body washes! So I was happy about this. It isn’t heavily fragranced but just the right amount.

Overall, it left me feeling clean and fresh and wasn’t drying.

How I use it:

I would use 3-4 pumps and lather in my washcloth. Since I use a washcloth, I think I was able to get a good lather, but if you are a “put in my hand and rub all over” person, then I think the light foaming is what you’ll experience. I’m also judging you a little bit, but that’s another topic for another day.

Brown & Coconut Nourishing Body Oil

The Review:

I loved this body oil! The body oil has Shea, pomegranate seed oil, watermelon seed oil, and squalane, and all of those oils mixed together made my skin very happy.

The oil doesn’t have a fragrance; it smells like oils, which I like for shower oil most days because it allows me to layer my fragrances on top. I think this is a perfect layering base to build from.

This isn’t heavy oil at all, which I love! It blended right into my skin rather than sitting directly on top of it. With that being said, if you require additional moisture, I do think going in with a lotion after this will give you all the moisture you need.

How I use it:

Directly after my shower on damp skin, I applied the oil all over. If I needed more moisture, I would go in with a lotion of my choosing, and it was perfect.

Overall I enjoyed using both of these. I mean, clearly, the body wash is empty. I also look forward to using these in the summer, especially the body oil! The fact that it isn’t heavy is such a plus for me! It means I won’t sweat it all off and won’t be ashy because of it, lol!

I think if you are looking for a body wash, you should give this a try. BUT finish the six thousand other bottles of body wash you have FIRST! Don’t go buying this if you don’t need a body wash right now; finish the ones you got! THEN get this, LOL! Same for the body oil!

As always, let me know if you try them!

p.s. If you are Letisha or Zeena reading this, can I get this in full size, please?! I WILL PAY!! LOL!!!
