Were you influenced to buy the Always Pan? | Don't Throw it Away!

I don’t know yall; I have been seeing a lot of people on socials say they hate their Always pan, but I love mine. If you’ve been on social media for a while, you have seen this pan, even if you don’t know it by name. The Always Pan by Our Place is an 8-in-1 pan that can steam, saute, fry, etc.

But this post isn’t to sell you on the pan. This post is for the people who have bought this pan, used this pan, hated it, and thrown it away. Stop doing that! Why I think I enjoy my pan, outside of the fact I can steam Trader Joe’s dumplings and fry their beef bulgogi with the same pan, is because I have the tools to make sure it works as best as it should. So I am going to share them with you.

  1. The pan does come with instructions, LOL, and I sure did read them! I didn’t mention it above, but this pan is not cheap, so I was for damn sure reading instructions and care instructions. What the instructions say is that this pan is a medium to low fire pan. I’ve seen the bottoms of some of yalls pans… I know that fire is HIGH!

  2. You need to let the pan completely cool off before submerging it in water. That is a rule I stick to when using this pan.

These next steps are probably what will help you keep your pan out of a landfill.

  1. Realistically, the non-stick will not last forever, and food will inevitably stick to the bottom of the pan, sorry. but to help with that, buy one of these; a skillet scraper. You can also find them at Target, Bed Bath & Beyond, etc. if you aren’t trying to make purchases on Amazon.

  2. Dawn Power Wash. The chemist and engineers who came up with it were in their bag. That shit is bomb and probably the best thing I use on all of my pans.

If you need instructions with less detail and life stories, here is a quick summary:

  1. Let the pan cool completely

  2. Once cooled, spray with Dawn power wash; if you don’t have that, dish soap with warm water works just fine

  3. After legit 2 minutes (I mean that), food should start to come off. If it doesn’t

  4. Use the skillet scraper

  5. WASH THE BOTTOM OF YOUR PAN (I’m sorry I am yelling, but like I've seen some of the pan bottoms… PLEASE)

To those who do not own this pan, you DON’T NEED it! There are plenty of dupes at Costco, BJs, etc. Go get one of those if you like the aesthetic. As for the people who do have this pan, don’t throw it away! Try these tips the next time you use it. And if you hate it that much clean it and donate it! Someone can use it. Just don’t have it land in a landfill if you can help it!

Hope this helps!
